Starlink changes the terms of the “Pause” feature for European users

Starlink has announced an update to the terms of the “Pause” feature in its roaming tariff plan. Starting July 19, 2025, this feature will be renamed “Pause – Waiting” and will become paid for users with European equipment registration .

The new version of "Pause" involves a monthly payment of € 5 . In return, the user will receive a backup connection even during the pause:

• 5 GB of high-speed Internet — for critical situations, such as power outages, bad weather, or disruptions in the main provider's operation;
• after this amount is exhausted - unlimited low-speed access , suitable for text messages, calls or "smart home" functions ";
• Activation of emergency access will be instant .
  

Previously, the "Pause" function was free, and payment for the tariff was postponed for the duration of its validity. Now the date of the next payment no longer changes: the payment of 5 euros is made regardless of the duration of the pause.
