If you are holding the terminal box in your hands, you are one step closer to a stable connection even in the most remote corners of the planet. Let's start the setup together!
What is needed to activate the device:
1. First and last name
2. Phone number (+380…)
3. Valid email address
4. Bank details (card number, expiration date MM/YY, CVV)
5. $95 on the card to activate the "Roaming — Unlimited" plan
Creating an account via the starlink.com website
1. Go to the terminal activation page. Enter your device identifier and click "Continue".
Identifier — the KIT number (letters must be in Latin characters), which you will find on the packaging of your Adaptis order.
2. On the next page, enter the information required to create an account: select your country, enter your email address, first name, last name, and phone number.
3. Next, enter the service address where you plan to use Starlink (enter in English).
4. After this action, the available plans will unlock; choose the one that fits your request and needs. For example, we use "Roaming" (for using Starlink in motion).
5. Next, you need to select the type of plan based on data volume.
6. The final stage — payment, which you can return to later. Enter the contact information and (carefully) the bank details. The first and last name (as on the card) must be in Latin characters. Click "Place Order" and confirm the payment in your bank app.
Order placed!
After the funds are deducted, you will receive two emails from Starlink. One of them will contain a link to set a password for your account.
Adaptis tip:
Create a new password that is not used on other sites and platforms. Share your account login details with a trusted person (access to the email you used for activation and the password).
Next, connect your Starlink terminal to power and wait about 15 minutes. If all steps were followed correctly, it will go online.
Creating an account via the Starlink app
1. Download the Starlink app on your phone via the App Store or Google Play.
2. Connect the terminal to power.
3. Connect to your Starlink's Wi-Fi (it may be named STARLINK, STINKY, or Adaptis SK0000 — your order number).
4. Wait for the Starlink to connect to the satellites (this process can take up to 15 minutes).
5. After that, the message "No active subscription" will appear on the interface. Click "Learn More" and "Activate Starlink".
6. The app will redirect you to the activation page.
Proceed according to the same algorithm as activation via the website.
Setting up the Starlink terminal
1. Find a spot with an unobstructed view of the sky. Use the "Check for Obstructions" tool in the Starlink app to find an installation location that will provide the best connection.
2. Connect the Starlink to power.
3. Within a few minutes, your Starlink will connect to the satellites.
Starlink Standard Gen 2 and Starlink High Performance automatically align to search for satellites. They do not need to be adjusted manually.
For Starlink Standard Gen 3 and Starlink Mini, use the "Alignment" tool in the app to position your Starlink for the best connection to satellites.
